Merle Haggard Working in Tennessee

The 74-year-old Merle Haggard has a new CD coming out on October 4. The CD includes some new Haggard originals, a couple of Johnny Cash classics, and a new recording of Haggard’s song “Working Man’s Blues,” featuring Willie Nelson and Hag’s son Ben Haggard.

    1. I have loved Merle Haggard and his music since I was a teenager in 1951/52 in Bakersfield, California. I listened to he and Buck, Bonnie, and the rest of the band on Cousin Herb Henson’s Show on the radio every evening. I use to watch them at the Blackboard Bar and Cafe on Chester Ave. in Oildale. They had a swinging door on the Bar. My uncle was Doyle Miller. He was an attorney and then a judge in Bakersfield. Merle probably remembers him.
