On Tuesday, Marty Brown will be performing before a live audience at Radio City Music Hall on America’s Got Talent. As his long-term fans and regular Chimesfreedom readers know, it is a great story for the country singer to be making a comeback. Two decades ago in 1992, Marty Brown was a young man with a dream traveling the country performing in a tour of Wal-Marts. Check out the young Marty Brown singing “Wildest Dreams” in the shoe section of the retail store in 1992.

I really like Marty in the 90s and bought every tape he had..I heard about some of the bad times Marty fell on but none of us are perfect.I was raised listening to Hank andMerle and always felt country ought to be country..I was astounded this year on the music awards to watch one band play a Fleetwood mac song and another singer acting like he was drinking whiskey from a flask.Country just doesn’t have to good ol wood smoky country flavor it had and I miss it.I rarely turn my radio on anymore..I sincerely hope this reboots Martys career and gets him back on stage and interested in writing some good ol country songs..I”ll be listening Ol Pard.
I agree. The world needs more Marty Brown songs.
